Luka Doncic will make his preseason debut Tuesday in Phoenix for the Los Angeles Lakers after missing the first three preseason games following a month with Slovenia at EuroBasket. The team plans a cautious minutes ramp-up from Game 1 to Game 2 and will coordinate with athletic trainer Javy Barrio to determine appropriate workload. Marcus Smart and Austin Reaves are expected to play in Phoenix; Smart had missed earlier preseason games with Achilles tendinopathy. The preseason concludes with games in Las Vegas against Dallas and at home versus Sacramento, while LeBron James remains sidelined with right-sided sciatica for at least 2–3 weeks.
