"Coming off a successful 3-2 road trip, the Miami Heat return home to face the Orlando Magic in the first of a condensed four-game stretch ahead of them. At 25-22, the Heat, the No. 7 seed in the East, are currently one game ahead of their intrastate rival in the standings. Miami enters off two-straight wins against the Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns, respectively."
"However, Miami has fallen short in each of its previous three meetings this season. Orlando's last win against the Heat was on Dec. 9 (117-108). It's won five of its last seven against Miami. Wednesday's game against the Magic will be the first of a rare back-to-back-to-back. Miami will have four games over its next five days - including three against the Bulls - due to a postponed game in early January."
Miami is 25-22 and sits one game ahead of Orlando in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat are coming off a 3-2 road trip and consecutive wins over Utah and Phoenix. Orlando has lost four straight games by at least 14 points, its first four-game skid since late October. Miami has lost the previous three head-to-head meetings this season; Orlando beat Miami on Dec. 9, 117-108, and has won five of seven recent matchups. Wednesday's game begins a rare back-to-back-to-back for Miami, with four games in five days due to a postponed contest.
