Freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr. scored 49 points and logged all 50 minutes in a 117-115 double-overtime loss at Alabama. Arkansas operated with a seven-man rotation and lost four teammates to fouls in overtime. Acuff made 16 of 27 shots, including 6 of 10 from three, and added five rebounds and five assists while playing in a protective boot. Arkansas led by 14 twice but could not hold the advantage and lost for the first time in four games. Acuff missed the final jumpers at the end of each extra period and fell two points short of the program record.
