Ovechkin and James exchanged autographed jerseys and posed for a photo with Ovechkin's sons, Sergei and Ilya. Capitals forward Aliaksei Protas obtained a signature from James as well. Ovechkin also interacted with Luka Dončić during gameplay when Dončić nearly fell into Ovechkin's lap. Ovechkin has a long history as a basketball fan and admires Michael Jordan.
