Hotzler has transformed City Tech into a beacon of STEM education for New York City. Throughout his tenure, President Hotzler oversaw the steady evolution of the college's curriculum, increased the size of its full-time faculty and sustained the growth of its student and faculty research.
When I joined CUNY's faculty some 25 years ago, people were calling President Hotzler the university's 'Mr. Fix-it' for his success in the administration and his back-to-back stints as interim president.
Hotzler described his time as president as a period of significant transformation and growth that has allowed the college to evolve into a truly unique and valued institution.
