Nikola founder Trevor Milton pardoned by Trump | TechCrunch
Briefly

Trevor Milton, the founder of hydrogen trucking startup Nikola, received a pardon from President Trump following his conviction for securities and wire fraud in connection to misleading investors about the company's progress. Milton was sentenced to four years in prison in late 2023, while out on a $100 million bond pending appeal. The pardon came shortly after Nikola entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy, attempting to sell the company. Milton plans to share his story through a documentary after his release.
It is no wonder why trust and confidence in the Justice Department has eroded to nothing. I wish judges would stop believing whatever the prosecutors feed them.
Milton was convicted by a jury... represented in that trial by Brad Bondi, a partner at law firm Paul Hastings.
Now a free man, Milton plans to release a documentary that he believes will tell his side of the Nikola story.
The company didn't enter the spotlight until 2020, when it became one of the first electric vehicle companies to go public by merging with a SPAC.
