Chobani CEO: Why we're now giving all workers at least 12 weeks of parental leave
Briefly

After welcoming a child in 2015, Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya realized the company lacked a comprehensive parental leave policy. Shocked by the inadequate response regarding support for new parents, he initiated significant policy changes. As of this week, Chobani now offers 12 weeks of fully paid leave for all new parents, covering fostering and adoption, while birthing parents can access a total of 18 weeks of paid leave. This initiative applies to all full-time and part-time employees working at least 24 hours per week, reflecting Ulukaya's belief in investing in employees.
"I asked, what happens at Chobani when someone has a baby or a new member of their families? The response was: We don't have [a policy]."
"Anything you do [for] your employees-anything-is an investment. It comes back 100% from my experience."
