Picturesque Staten Island park now open to public with new hours
Briefly

Allison Pond Park in Randall Manor is now open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing residents a serene escape in New York City. The NYPD's 120th Precinct confirmed this update.
Once part of Sailors' Snug Harbor, the pond was vital for water supply until the municipal system was established in 1939, leading to its transfer to the Parks Department in 1943.
The park is named for George Allison, a key figure in Staten Island's development in the 1930s, and was renovated in 1990 to enhance its natural beauty.
