Penthouse Asking More Than $100 Million Led New York City Housing Market Last Week

The penthouse at supertall skyscraper Central Park Tower, a new development on Billionaire's Row at the southern edge of the park, was most recently asking $149.5 million, though it's expected to close for around $115 million, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The second-biggest deal last week was for a West Village townhouse asking $30 million. It was a quick sale for the big-ticket home, which hit the market at the beginning of December. The 6,000-square-foot, single-family house has five-bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two partial bathrooms and an elevator, according to Olshan.
