Geothermal hotel work continues in Bushwick for summer opening * Brooklyn Paper
Briefly

A new 10-story hotel in Bushwick is nearing completion, featuring innovative geothermal heating and cooling. The development includes modern aesthetics and plans for a pool, spa, and restaurant. Slated to open in summer, the hotel will house 154 rooms and 35,061 square feet of community space, with parking for 138 vehicles. The building is part of an effort to promote sustainable construction practices, as geothermal systems are primarily easier to integrate into new builds rather than existing structures. Workers are currently busy completing the structure after significant progress since 2022.
The geothermal aspect of the new development has potential to greatly reduce emissions while also drastically reducing utility costs for the building owner.
Plenty of workers were busy at 25 Stewart Avenue when Brooklyn Paper's sister site visited in late February. Not much more than a three-story partial skeleton in 2022.
