Exclusive | ALL THE RAGE Neighbors making racket over Ronnie Fieg's rooftop 'padel ball' plans
Briefly

Residents of West Village are voicing strong opposition to a proposed rooftop bar and padel courts by developers including Kith founder Ronnie Fieg. The $1.6 million project would transform the top of a nine-story building at 120 Leroy St. into a private members' club featuring a restaurant, spa, and multiple padel courts, spurring concerns about noise from events and parties. Neighbors have expressed that such developments disrupt the area’s tranquil character and describe it as an inappropriate use of residential space, highlighting fears of community change and disturbances caused by the proposed venue.
"It's kind of unprecedented to have this kind of thing in the middle of a residential area," said neighbor Scott Bird, who is among the chorus of locals blasting the project.
"What they're putting up there is a nightclub," raged neighbor Charles Dunne. "It just does not belong in the middle of this residential neighborhood," added Liz Beggar, who lives across the street.
