In response to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's joking remark about defeating MAGA supporters in a wrestling match, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs proposed a real challenge. Known as Kane from WWE, Jacobs expressed seriousness in facing Walz, mentioning corporate sponsorship and charity involvement. The potential wrestling match aims to raise funds for causes chosen by both governors. Jacobs, recalling earlier donations, also entertained the idea of creating a handicap for Walz to make the match competitive, noting he believes he has a significant advantage.
I think I could kick most of their ass. I do think that. I know I can outrun them, but I don't know if we're going to fall into that place of, okay, we're going to challenge you to a WWE fight type of thing, the former vice presidential candidate said.
Jacobs told Vittert he's serious about wrestling Walz, saying he's already lined up a corporate sponsor for the potential event.
We could figure out some stipulation to even the odds a little bit because I think that he would be facing a huge uphill battle, Jacobs said.
If you're gonna say something like that, you have to expect someone's gonna take up the challenge. So I challenged him.
