Three men, including Rafael Nieves, owner of V&R Auto Repair, were arrested during a drug raid in Woodside. The NYPD found drugs and a firearm at the shop. Initially, the charges included possession of a loaded firearm and controlled substances. However, following an investigation, the charges were reduced as investigators determined the Glock was not loaded, and another gun recovered was identified as an air pistol. Nieves and the two reputed gang members lived at city-run migrant shelters during the incident.
