The Dave Colon Challenge: Zellnor Myrie Wants His Own Bike Now - Streetsblog New York City
Briefly

State Senator Zellnor Myrie recognizes the importance of cycling but expresses concerns about safety on the streets of his district. During a recent bike ride, he acknowledged that while he enjoys biking, the presence of parked vehicles in bike lanes and an increase in cycling injuries make it a risky endeavor. He advocates for better bike infrastructure to encourage more people to cycle safely, addressing the rising injuries citywide since he took office. Myrie believes there should be efforts to make biking safer for everyone in the community.

We've had to swerve in and out of the bike lane no less than five times in the span of maybe two blocks, and I can only imagine if you are someone that's younger.
