Ousted Police Commissioner Max Carter-Oberstone Speaks Out, Blasts both Lurie and Breed
Briefly

In a recent exit interview with Mission Local, former SF Police Commission VP Max Carter-Oberstone shared candid insights about his firing at the hands of Mayor Lurie. He described both Lurie and former Mayor London Breed as imperious and vindictive. His dismissal, which lacked public justification, raised concerns about transparency in government. Despite his ouster, he remained at peace, understanding that standing firm on integrity could lead to significant consequences. The interview revealed deeper issues regarding accountability and the treatment of whistleblowers in city governance.

Carter-Oberstone had a full house of supporters, and received raucous ovations when he addressed the board. I'm very much at peace with the process, he said of his ouster.
I always understood that this was a natural consequence of doing this job with integrity.
