An NYPD officer was severely injured while walking to his car in Manhattan when a driver lost control of their Dodge Charger. The vehicle struck a sanitation sweeper and then collided with the officer, pinning him between the two cars. The incident occurred just after 7 a.m., and the officer was taken to a hospital but is reported to be in stable condition.
