NYC Police Athletic League brings holiday cheer, food to families in need

More than 400 inner-city kids, cops and city leaders gathered at the Police Athletic League's annual holiday party in Harlem on Saturday, where it was gifts, games and glee galore.
'All we're trying to do is save the lives of those kids,' John Catsimatidis, CEO of Gristedes, told The Post.
The youth nonprofit's event featured face-painting stations, an inflatable bounce house and a bicycle raffle - as well as speeches by NYC Mayor Eric Adams and newly-minted NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
'It was a wonderful party.' said Gristedes CEO John Catsimatidis, highlighting the joyful atmosphere and community spirit at the event.
