Despite a decrease in felony assaults, misdemeanor attacks have notably increased this year, revealing ongoing safety issues in the city's transit system.
The city's transit system has seen a dip in felony assaults on the rails so far this year, with 101 attacks reported through Sunday, compared to 117 during the same period in 2024.
The young suspects kicked and punched the victim, causing him to fall to the floor before the muggers made off with his wallet containing just $15.
