Rana Abbasova was identified by multiple news outlets Wednesday as the person who the mayor's campaign said was found to have 'recently acted improperly' following an FBI raid on the home of Adams' chief fundraiser.
Abbasova didn't return requests for comments, according to reports in the New York Post, the New York Daily News and elsewhere that cited unnamed sources who identified her.
It's unclear when the FBI seized Abbasova's cellphone and other devices but CNN reported Tuesday that nearly 100 agents executed search warrants related to the case at a dozen locations on Nov. 2, including the Brooklyn residence of Adams' fundraiser Brianna Suggs.
