Gov. Kathy Hochul and the legislature increased funding for Say Yes Buffalo threefold, benefiting Buffalo students with scholarships for college education.
The boost in funding for Say Yes Buffalo coincided with the elimination of state aid to private universities with endowments over $750 million, projected to save $18 million.
