Cuomo campaign spokesman Rich Azzopardi emphasized, "As far as I know, they have not discussed the race," regarding any phone calls with Trump.
Adams remarked, "This administration has taken the White House to court more than any mayor in the country," about the city's legal battles.
He clarified that his discussions with Trump center around resources needed for New York City, stating, "When I speak with the president, it's about resources for the city of New York."
