A hit-and-run incident near JFK Airport resulted in the death of a 52-year-old pedestrian. The crash occurred at around 2:27 a.m. on Aug. 13 near 155th Street and South Conduit Avenue. Police reported that an unidentified driver in a white SUV struck the victim as he attempted to cross the street and then fled the scene. Emergency services transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation by the NYPD continues, with no arrests made as of yet. Traffic fatalities in NYC have decreased this year compared to last.
