Helicopter in Hudson River crash lacked flight recorders, officials say
Briefly

The helicopter crash in the Hudson River resulted in the tragic loss of a family of five and the pilot, highlighting a lack of safety protocols. The National Transportation Safety Board stated that no flight recorders or data from onboard equipment were available for the investigation. Recovery efforts continue for critical parts of the helicopter, with calls for stronger regulations surrounding helicopter tours. Lawmakers, sparked by the incident, are urging the FAA to reevaluate the training and certification requirements for helicopter operators, emphasizing the need for increased safety measures after the accident.
The helicopter was not equipped with any flight recorders...that could be used for the investigation, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.
Divers from the New York Police Department are continuing to search for the helicopter's main rotor, main gear box, tail rotor and a large portion of the tail boom.
The company has an operating certificate from the FAA that is called a 'Part 91'. It does not require...a level of training and experience for helicopter tours.
Right now, New York Helicopter Tours is under federal investigation for these deaths, but first, I am urging the FAA to pull their operating certificate immediately.
