Grandsons of late crime boss John Gotti facing assault and harassment charges
Briefly

John Gotti III and his brother Frankie Gotti are facing misdemeanor assault and harassment charges for allegedly attacking Gino Gabrielli, reportedly Gotti III's brother-in-law, in Howard Beach. They were seen by police striking Gabrielli multiple times, resulting in visible injuries. Gabrielli himself was charged with felony burglary and theft. Both Gotti men were released after appearing in court, and they must surrender their firearms. Their next court date is set for August 7, while their attorney claims the case is straightforward and will be dismissed.
In court, Frankie Gotti's attorney, Gerard Marrone, identified Gabrielli as Gotti III's brother-in-law and described the incident as 'domestic in nature.'
Prosecutors requested supervised release for Gotti III, citing his two prior felony convictions and that he was currently on federal probation.
Both men were ordered to turn over any firearms and are due to return to court on August 7.
Marrone claims the case will be dismissed, describing it simply as a 'simple case'.
