Gov. Kathy Hochul to speak at Democratic National Convention

"We, at one time, were receiving 4,000 migrants a week here in New York City. It plateaued for a long time, at about 1,500. We're now hitting 800 and below. So the numbers are - this is just since May - trending in the right direction, which is very positive," she said.
"I've been honored to accept the invitation to appear Monday night. I understand there's lineup with, President Biden will be there, and Hillary Clinton, and I'm really, really honored that they selected me to be on that night," she added.
"I was not in a position to officially announce that I would be speaking. So today, I can," she said, regarding the timing of her announcement about speaking at the convention.
