Gov. Kathy Hochul assembling 'key leaders' on Tuesday to discuss 'path forward' regarding Eric Adams
Briefly

Governor Kathy Hochul has called a summit of key leaders to address the future of Mayor Eric Adams' administration following the resignation of four deputy mayors. The governor expressed concern over recent troubling allegations surrounding the mayor and indicated that his administration's stability is in question. Hochul emphasized her constitutional powers, stating that she has the authority to potentially remove Adams, though such an action has never been taken in New York's history. Both Adams and the Department of Justice have denied any misconduct related to the allegations.
"If they feel unable to serve in City Hall at this time, that raises serious questions about the long-term future of this Mayoral administration," said Hochul.
"That said, the alleged conduct at City Hall that has been reported over the past two weeks is troubling and cannot be ignored," said Hochul.
