Did you just feel that? An earthquake centered near New York City rattled windows in Upstate NY
Briefly

Residents in various areas of Upstate New York felt the shaking from the earthquake - from desks in classrooms shaking in Syracuse to dogs barking in Poughkeepsie and Oneida. Despite the distance from the epicenter, the effects were noticeable in Central New York.
The U.S. Geological Survey described the 4.8-magnitude earthquake as being large enough to be strongly felt, particularly in the East, where shaking travels more efficiently. The quake was felt across a broad region from Maine to Washington, D.C.
