Briefly

The OneLIC Neighborhood Plan has officially entered the city's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure, certified by the City Planning Commission. This ambitious proposal aims to transform Long Island City with nearly 14,700 housing units (4,300 affordable), creating 14,400 jobs and over 3.5 million square feet of commercial space. Mayor Eric Adams emphasized the plan's role in addressing NYC's housing crisis. Spanning 54 blocks, the plan aims to modernize zoning regulations for mixed-use development. Council Member Julie Won noted the plan was informed by extensive community engagement over 18 months, ensuring it reflects local priorities.

After 18 months of extensive public engagement, which shaped our community priorities, I am energized to enter certification and negotiations for OneLIC.
