On April 13, 2025, the NYPD reported a random slashing incident in the Bronx, where a 29-year-old man was attacked by a suspect who approached him asking, 'Do we have a problem?' The assailant then used a cutting instrument to slash the victim across the face, leaving a significant laceration. Afterward, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Law enforcement has since released photos and descriptions of the suspect, who was seen wearing a black cap and teal sweatshirt, and is urging the public to provide information about his whereabouts.
Law enforcement sources stated that shortly after approaching the victim, the assailant pulled out a cutting instrument and slashed him across the face, causing a major laceration.
The NYPD has released images of the suspect, who was last seen fleeing the scene heading northbound on Jerome Avenue, wearing distinctive clothing and accessories.
