Boy struck in head with cellphone

On May 2, at approximately 2:16 p.m., a young woman engaged in a verbal dispute with a 13-year-old boy in front of 511 Cortelyou Rd. During this altercation, she struck the boy multiple times in the head with a cellphone, resulting in lacerations. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition. The assailant, described as a light-complexioned female wearing a black shirt, a pink sweater, and gray sweatpants, fled the scene going west on Cortelyou Road. Law enforcement seeks public assistance in locating her.
