The outcome appears likely to favor Carr due to his seniority and backing from additional members, including Inna Vernikov from Brooklyn.
Borelli expressed confidence in David Carr, stating, "he is the most skilled and respected candidate in the race... zero percent chance of me taking any action that gives Staten Island less leverage in the council."
Joann Ariola highlighted her support from fellow Queens GOP member Vickie Paladino, adding that she believes her platform resonates more with the conference’s needs.
