Adams Reverses Course, Restores Funds for Education, Sanitation, Parks
Briefly

Adams on Friday said he would restore $10 million in funding for New York City Department of Education (DOE) community schools and fully fund the popular Summer Rising program.
For the Department of Sanitation, there will be money to maintain 23,000 DSNY litter baskets and allow the department to continue installing its Litter Basket of the Future to combat rats, the mayor said earlier this week.
This is the third time in recent weeks that the mayor reversed earlier decisions to cut the budget. The preliminary fiscal 2025 year budget will be announced on Tuesday.
