A mass shooting in Brooklyn resulted in three fatalities and ten injuries early Sunday morning. Multiple suspects opened fire around 3:30 a.m. at Taste of the City Lounge, located off Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed early Sunday morning.
The dead were identified by the New York Police Department on Sunday night as Marvin St. Louis, 19, of Brooklyn; Amadou Diallo, 27, of Upper Manhattan; and Jamel Childs, 35, of Brooklyn.
Crisis management teams had been mobilized to provide trauma services and facilitate mediation efforts with the victims' friends and families to try to stop any retaliation.
The shooting began after a dispute at the crowded club, the commissioner said. Officers recovered at least 42 shell casings from the lounge on Sunday morning.
