Briefly

St Mary's Church of England school in Walthamstow received email threats early on April 14, 2023. The Metropolitan Police declared these threats not credible but the nursery relocated as a precaution. This incident may be related to similar threats made to schools in Sheffield. Local MP Stella Creasy acknowledged the concerns among parents and confirmed the school's serious response to the threats, emphasizing collaboration with police to address the situation. Although no students were present due to Easter holidays, the school took proactive measures to support affected children.
At around 6.30am on Monday, April 14, police received reports of email threats being made towards a school on Brooke Road, Walthamstow.
I can confirm that the school has received a threat that is being taken seriously. I recognise this is shocking - for someone to threaten a school.
