On Father's Day weekend, two dogs were discovered outside Tottenville High School by Eric Petrov and a friend. Without identification, Petrov took them home to clean and feed them before bringing them to the NYPD's 123rd Precinct. The dogs, thought to be siblings, will remain at the precinct temporarily in hopes that an owner will claim them. If not, they will be transferred to NYC's Animal Care Centers. The precinct has sought public assistance via social media, but there have been no responses yet.
Eric Petrov expressed that the dogs seemed abandoned since they were no longer puppies and might have been difficult to care for as they grew up.
The NYPD 123rd Precinct spokesperson noted the dogs will stay at the precinct temporarily, hoping their owner will come forward before potentially transferring them to NYC's Animal Care Centers.
