Branndon Mosley, a New Jersey train conductor celebrated for his heroic actions during a train fire, has been charged with abusing an 11-year-old girl, now 18, over a span of several years. Along with his girlfriend, Brenda Spencer, Mosley allegedly subjected the girl to horrific living conditions, including confinement in a dog crate. The girl's escape to a neighbor has raised alarms about their treatment. The shocking allegations surface shortly after Mosley's public commendation for his bravery in evacuating passengers during a train emergency in February.
"She told me just recently that they cut her hair and shaved her head for punishment. She said they kept her in the dog crate. It was horrific, it was disgraceful," said the resident, who only wanted to go by Susan.
Mosley was honored for his actions during a fire while on the job earlier this year. SEPTA did not immediately comment on the allegations against him.
