Tyrone Stylistic Crooks, 33, of St. Albans, Queens, was arrested at a Huntington motel and charged with sex trafficking five victims, three of whom were minors between 14 and 17 years old. The federal indictment includes charges of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation of minors, transportation of minors for prostitution, and Mann Act violations. Crooks operated as a pimp, using online communications to recruit victims, arranging commercial sex acts, controlling earnings, and using force, threats, fraud, and coercion to maintain control. The crimes occurred across Brooklyn, Queens, and multiple Long Island locations from at least 2021 to the present. Crooks physically assaulted victims, including one who was pregnant, and explicitly told victims they could not refuse his demands.
