Parents 'astounded' and 'angry' by sudden proposed closure of Ilford school
Briefly

Ursuline Prep School has initiated a consultation for potential closure due to economic challenges, leaving parents in a state of shock. A letter dated February 26 revealed the situation, prompting an outcry from parents who felt blindsided and criticized the lack of prior communication. Many expressed their discontent over how the announcement was managed, highlighting the school’s nurturing environment and their children's positive experiences. An online petition has emerged in an effort to save the school, reflecting the parents' commitment to their children's education and dissatisfaction with the governing body's transparency and communication.
It has come out of the blue. It's not shocking that numbers have dropped but it is shocking at how this has been handled. The communication was poorly managed.
We knew things weren't great, but we didn't expect this. It feels as though there was no thought towards the parent community. We're astounded and angered at the lack of respect.
