A mother, Natasha Saadaher, and her two daughters tragically lost their lives after being struck by a car in Brooklyn, New York. The incident occurred when Miriam Yarimi, who was driving on a suspended license, first collided with another vehicle before hitting the family at a pedestrian crosswalk. The family was transported to a hospital where they were pronounced dead, while another child remains in critical condition. The NYPD is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including possible red light running and speed factors.
"I will call it like it is. This was a horrific tragedy caused by someone who shouldn't have been on the road," said NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tischa.
Authorities are currently investigating whether Yarimi ran a red light and whether speed played a role in the incident.
