Eric Dym and his family embarked on a backpacking adventure to learn jiu jitsu and study Buddhism, but their plans turned into a nightmare when their son Derek was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer. After symptoms began during their trip in Bali, a CT scan revealed a tumor. Facing significant financial pressures, the family is living in an RV close to the hospital as they seek treatment for Derek, including costly medications. Despite their trials, the Dyms remain determined to fight for Derek's life and exhaust all options for his care.
