E-ZPass websites, mobile app to be down in April for system overhaul
Briefly

The MTA has announced a six-day offline period for E-ZPass and Tolls by Mail services, scheduled from April 9 to 14, 2025. This interruption is part of a major redesign aimed at enhancing user-friendliness and improving customer experience. During this period, customers will be unable to access their accounts online or via the app, placing a temporary hold on transactions. Upgrades will lead to an integrated customer service line and a more streamlined website for user account management and toll payments. MTA officials assure customers that tolls will continue to be processed as normal during this upgrade.
The MTA is temporarily taking E-ZPass websites and the Tolls by Mail app offline from April 9 to 14 for major user-friendly improvements.
MTA Bridges and Tunnels President Catherine Sheridan stated that despite the inconvenience, the upcoming changes will enhance user experience and streamline account management.
Post-upgrade, the new streamlined E-ZPass website will allow customers to easily access toll bills, transactions, and manage their accounts on e-zpassny.com.
Customers will experience a single customer service line post-improvements for both E-ZPass and Tolls by Mail, simplifying their support access.
