90 per cent of Bexley pupils secure one of their top three school choices

Bexley Borough reported that 77.4% of children have been offered a spot at their chosen secondary schools, a notable rise from last year’s 75.9%. Additionally, 90.3% of applicants received one of their top three preferences, increasing from 89.2% in the prior year. A total of 2,997 applications were received, down slightly from 3,017 last year. Most applications were submitted online (98.74%), with parents receiving offer details via email or letter. Councillor Caroline Newton emphasized the milestone's significance and praised the school admissions team's efforts.
Receiving a secondary school offer is a significant milestone for families. We are pleased that more children have secured a place at one of their preferred schools, particularly their first choice.
