There's a Summertime New Year's Eve Now?
Independence Eve Live with Anderson & Andy: Celebrating 250 will air from 8 p.m. on July 3 through 12:30 a.m. ET on July 4. The program will feature a summertime version of New Year’s Eve coverage, including a Times Square ball drop honoring America’s birthday. It will launch CNN’s full day of coverage for the 250th year of America. Later that night, Anderson Cooper will anchor the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. The fireworks event will include performances from Lainey Wilson, Chance the Rapper, and Trombone Shorty. CNN also plans additional guests for the ball-drop party, though names have not been specified.

"CNN wants to give you a space to celebrate the stuff you like about America. Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper are doing a summertime version of their New Year's Eve coverage, dropping the Times Square ball in honor of America's birthday. Independence Eve Live with Anderson & Andy: Celebrating 250 will air from 8 p.m. on July 3 through 12:30 a.m. ET on July 4."
"CNN hinted at a panoply of guests stopping by Andy and Anderson's ball-drop party, but did not specify who those guests may be. John Mayer? Probs. A country singer who wants to rep the liberal agenda? Seems likely. We're hoping for some of our favorite patriots, like presidential dramaturg Cole Escola, amateur Roosevelt historian Cardi B, or Prettiest Girl in America Meg Stalter."
"Later that night, Cooper will anchor the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, which will feature performances from Lainey Wilson, Chance the Rapper, and Trombone Shorty. Also fireworks. Expect a big performance from the concept of fireworks."
