The Look Book Goes to the Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen Show
Briefly

Camilla Carper, an artist and educator, discusses her approach to fashion by setting seasonal dressing restrictions. Currently, she focuses on creating all her clothing, layering extensively to achieve volume and density. Her outfit today includes jumpsuits, bloomers, and harem pants, accessorized with a dunce cap and gloves. Working with artist Jessi Highet, Carper dyes fabrics to match her skin tone, resulting in garments of varying shades due to differing materials. This distinctive method reflects her artistic vision while engaging with practical elements of garment design.
Twice a year, I make a set of dressing restrictions - rules that dictate how I move through the world. This season, the rules are that I'm making all my own clothes and I'm trying to wear as much as possible.
I've been working with the artist Jessi Highet to dye fabric to match my skin tone. Each garment ends up a slightly different color because they're all made from different fabric types.
