NewJeans, the K-pop sensation, announced a pause on group activities after a legal dispute with their label ADOR. During a concert at ComplexCon Hong Kong, the members revealed their decision came after a court ruling against their attempt to leave ADOR amid accusations of workplace harassment and the removal of their mentor. They expressed the need for this break to protect themselves and potentially return stronger in the future, while ADOR conveyed regret over the situation and hopes for continued collaboration under the original contract.
It wasn't an easy decision, but we believe this is something we need to do at this moment.
