Over seven years on air, musicians from many backgrounds and genres perform and chat in studio. The Marcus Johnson Trio first appeared at the show’s first anniversary and returns six years later for the final program. The host thanks the trio and notes the surprise of their earlier performance with a baby grand piano. The trio expresses appreciation and looks toward other activities after the transition. Music is presented as something that always lives, allowing people to stay together and visit through sound. The trio performs selections from a new DVD, including “Oui Merci,” created while in Paris, and “Chase Me,” written for the host’s daughter.
