Geese wrapped up 2025 tour at exhilarating Brooklyn Paramount shows (pics, video, setlists)
""This place is fucking gigantic," Geese frontman Cameron Winter told the crowd at Brooklyn Paramount on Friday night (11/21) before launching into "Cowboy Nudes." "Look at the ceiling, for god's sake look at the ceiling." The 2700-capacity venue is indeed bigger than the NYC spaces Geese have played previously - if you don't count their last minute, packed Banker's Anchor release show in September - but it also seems likely to be the smallest place they'll play for a while going forward."
"I was most excited to hear the Getting Killed material, which made up most of the set, closing with a kinetic freakout on "Trinidad" that had the whole floor moving. During the middle, they did a few older songs, including 4D Country's "Killing My Borrowed Time," which got its tour debut, and 3D Country's "2122." They've been covering snippets of other songs in the middle of the latter with members of one of the openers, Racing Mount Pleasant, joining them on horns,"
Geese performed a closing show at Brooklyn Paramount, a 2700-capacity venue larger than their previous NYC spaces. The set focused on material from Getting Killed, ending with a kinetic freakout on "Trinidad" that moved the entire floor. The band mixed newer tracks with older songs, debuting 4D Country's "Killing My Borrowed Time" and playing 3D Country's "2122" with horn contributions from Racing Mount Pleasant. Geese have raised their profile through a New Radicals cover, a From the Basement session, and praise from Nick Cave and Patti Smith. Racing Mount Pleasant and Dove Ellis opened, with Ellis' soaring vocals mesmerizing the room.
