In 2025, Illuminate and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bandshell with over 125 free live music performances, beginning on March 1. The season will feature a variety of genres and runs through mid-November on select Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Bandshell has become a cultural hub, hosting events like Surf Fest and Crucial Reggae Sundays, and has drawn nearly 1 million attendees over the years, all while providing a rich historic backdrop for San Francisco's artistic scene.
