Country star Bailey Zimmerman surprises Boston bar crowd, picks up everyone's tab
"Bailey's the real deal. He came in and wanted the best Guinness in Boston - and we were happy to deliver. Next thing you know he's taking photos with everyone, talking with the crowd, and picking up the entire tab. That's the kind of guy he is."
"You never know who might walk through that door. That's Boston nightlife at its best."
Bailey Zimmerman made an unannounced visit to J.J. Foley's Cafe in Boston's South End after performing a sold-out show at TD Garden as part of his "Different Night Same Rodeo Tour." Upon arriving at the packed Irish pub, the crowd recognized him immediately. Zimmerman then surprised everyone by announcing he would cover the entire bar's tab. Bar owner Mike Foley praised Zimmerman's character, noting he ordered Guinness, took photos with patrons, and engaged with the crowd. The visit reflects the welcoming atmosphere that has made the historic pub popular with visiting musicians. The appearance coincides with J.J. Foley's preparations for its annual St. Patrick's season celebrations and the pub's 117th birthday festivities.
