Animal Liberation Orchestra (ALO), formed in the late 1990s in Saratoga, retains its jam roots while evolving musically. With a partnership with Jack Johnson since 2006 and their recent release, 'Frames,' they exhibit a streamlined sound. Once a large ensemble with horns, ALO is now more focused, yet their unique jamming aesthetic and rich sound continue to resonate with their audience, affirming their status as longtime favorites in the jam band scene.
As a band, we've always aimed to create music that feels organic and free-flowing, which resonates with our fans and allows them to escape into the sound.
Recording with Jack Johnson helped us hone our direction, and we believe 'Frames' captures both our evolution and the essence of our original jam roots.
